DAILY ITINERARY

TRAVEL DAY

DAY 1 (NOV 7): ISTANBUL- Arrive in Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport for transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 2 (NOV 8): ISTANBUL/ANKARA- After breakfast drive to Ankara. Upon arrival, we will have a lunch. You will explore the capital city of Turkey with the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations where you will have the chance to discover the archeological findings that belong to Hittites, Urartian’s, Phrygians and many other civilizations which had left traces in the cradle of civilizations, Anatolia. Dinner and overnight in Ankara.

DAY 3 (NOV 9): ANKARA/CAPPADOCIA- After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Hattusa, the ancient capital of the Hittite Kingdom, where you'll view it's impressive ruins. Continue your journey to Yazılıkaya, an open-air sanctuary known for its remarkable rock-cut reliefs depicting Hittite gods and kings. From Yazılıkaya, head towards Alacahöyük, where you can admire the ancient royal tombs and the stunning artifacts that reveal the wealth and artistry of the Hittite civilization. After a day of historical exploration, return to Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 4 (NOV 10): CAPPACOCIA- Start your day with an optional early morning hot air balloon flight over the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia. After breakfast, visit the underground city of Derinkuyu, explore the iconic Fairy Chimneys, and marvel at the rock-cut churches in Goreme. Continue to the Red Valley for a scenic hike, pass through Ortahisar to see its impressive castle, and enjoy a delicious lunch along the way. Return to Cappadocia for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 (NOV 11): CAPPADOCIA/MT. NEMRUT/ADIYAMAN- Take a morning flight to Adıyaman. Upon arrival, enjoy a brunch in the city before embarking on a drive to Mount Nemrut, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ascend to the summit of Mount Nemrut, the highest peak in Northern Mesopotamia at 2,150 meters, via special mini-vans from Kahta village. Marvel at the monumental funerary sanctuary built by King Antiochos I of Commagene in the 1st century B.C. Explore the colossal statues of Apollo, Zeus, Hercules, Tyche, and Antiochus, with their impressive torsos seated beside their intricately carved heads. Dinner and overnight in Sanliurfa.

DAY 6 (NOV 12): GOBEKLI TEPE/SANLIURFA- After breakfast, drive to head to Gobekli Tepe (20 km), a Neolithic site constructed 12,000 years ago, making it the oldest discovered temple in the world. Drive back to city center and visit the Archeological Museum which was moved to its own modern building spanning a wide area in 2015, has been open since 1965. Then we drive to Karahantepe, an archaeological site in Åžanlıurfa Province in Turkey. The site is close to Göbekli Tepe and archaeologists have also uncovered T-shaped stelae there and believe that the sites are related. Dinner and overnight Sanliurfa.

DAY 7 (NOV 13): SANLIURFA/ISTANBUL- After breakfast, drive to Harran (47 km); the city where Biblical Abraham lived. Walk through the village with its fortress, old Islamic school and beehive adobe houses. Next, drive back to city center to visit the birthplace of Abraham. Here, we will see the ancient castle ruins, and visit Mevlid Halil Mosque, the Cave of Prophet Abraham, and the Pools of Holy Carp. Afterwards, we will enjoy the hustle and bustle of the charming bazaar and old town. Drive to Sanliurfa Airport and fly to Istanbul. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul. 

DAY 8 (NOV 14): ISTANBUL- After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the historic Hippodrome, followed by the stunning Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, then, descend to the Underground Cistern. Continue your exploration with a tour of Topkapi Palace, where you’ll discover the opulent former residence of Ottoman sultans. Wander through the lively Grand Bazaar, a maze of shops filled with treasures. Enjoy a farewell dinner to complete your visit. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 9 (NOV 15): ISTANBUL/USA- Transfer to Istanbul airport for our return flight to the USA with our hearts full of memories from unforgettable experiences.

  • $4,495 per person based on double occupancy. 
  • Single room supplement - $1,295
  • $500 per person with registration to secure space.
  • 50% of the total amount is due on or before May 6, 2025
  • Balance due on or before August 6, 2025

INCLUDED:

HOTELS: Superior first-class hotels throughout. Priced based on two people per room with a private bath and shower.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: A limited number of single rooms are available at additional supplement prices. Signature Tours and/or the group leader will make every attempt to pair single participants requesting a roommate. However, the single supplement fee will be charged for each person occupying a single room, whether by choice or circumstance.

MEALS: Breakfast and dinner are provided at the hotel daily. Lunch is provided as noted in the itinerary. 

SIGHTSEEING: Entrance fees to all places of interest listed in the itinerary as well as an expert English-speaking guide.

PORTERAGE: See the carrier website for airline-specific baggage restrictions and requirements. Any fees for additional baggage beyond the standard airline allowance will be the responsibility of the individual. 

SERVICE CHARGES AND TAXES: Service charges added to the bill as required by hotel management. Taxes as imposed by national and/or local governments and/or administrations from the date listed on this brochure. Tips, taxes, and airport taxes ARE INCLUDED in the selling price. 

NOT INCLUDED: Airfare is not included with this tour. Passport fees, visa fees, food or drink items not listed on the regular table menu for included meals, and items of a personal nature such as room service, laundry, etc. Any service not indicated in the itinerary and/or the above list of included features.

PASSPORTS: Passports must be valid with an expiration date at least six months beyond the return home date of the tour. If you do not have a valid passport or need to renew your passport before the trip, enter "RENEWING" or "APPLIED FOR" when completing registration.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: This tour requires a substantial amount of walking. Many of the sites are not accessible by wheelchair, and the uneven terrain is not feasible for rollators. Signature Tours reserves the right to refuse individuals who may require special attention beyond what the tour guide and tour host can provide.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to ninety days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators, and hotels.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel Insurance is not included in the purchase price. For your convenience, we offer travel insurance through Trawick International.
