DAY 1: (AUG 30) BEGINNING OF TOUR — Depart the Denver for Hamburg, Germany.
DAY 2: (AUG 31) HAMBURG, GERMANY — Arrive in Hamburg, City tour/overview
DAY 3: (SEP 1) HAMBURG – GERMAN TANK MUSEUM – BUNKER MUSEUM - BREMEN In the morning, we visit the German Tank Museum. With the permanent exhibitions opened in February 2023, a comprehensive narrative is offered on more than 50 boards, which looks at the tanks critically and perspectively. From the history of technology and tactics to economic and social history to cultural and political history, and from the beginning of the tank weapon to the future of the tank, there are a variety of angles to the tanks. The exhibition integrates the theme of “Suffering, Killing, Death” The exhibition of the German Panzermuseum Munster comprises over 150 large objects and extends over 5 halls over 10,000 sqm. The permanent exhibition covers the first two halls, and the display depot can be explored freely in three other halls. We continue to the Bunker Museum, which presents personal experiences of time-witnesses during the air raids on Hamburg. Other topics are devoted to air raid shelters and various air raid shelters. Numerous exhibits and documents deepen the presentation. We continue to Bremen.
DAY 4: (SEP 2) BREMEN – WILHEMSHAFEN – GERMAN NAVY MUSEUM - AMSTERDAM — We leave Bremen and drive to Wilhelmshafen. As a traditional location for the floating units of the German Army, we see the ships, frigates, and supply vessels of the navy. Here, we look at the remains of mighty battleships from the First and Second World Wars. After the Battle of the Skagerrag, the badly damaged battle battlecruiser SMS "Seydlitz" barely reached Wilhelmshaven in June 1916. From the battleship "Tirpitz," one piece of armor remains. Together, the two objects provide an insight into the "race" between conventional firepower and armor protection, which culminated in the Second World War. Different weapon systems, from the massive 100mm gun turret to the inconspicuous but equally deadly bottom mine, provide an insight into the facets of naval warfare. We continue to Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.
DAY 5: (SEP 3) AMSTERDAM - Enjoy a guided tour of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Marvel at the elaborate canal system and the striking architecture of the captivating city. See the unassuming building where Anne Frank and her family were hidden during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Climb aboard a canal boat and experience Amsterdam’s unique ambiance from the water. After lunch, explore the city at your leisure. Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam.
DAY 6: (SEP 4) AMSTERDAM – ARNHEM - BRUSSELS— Journey to Arnhem, headquarters of the 1st Airborne Division during WWII. Visit the Airborne Museum dedicated to the Battle of Arnhem, where the British 1st Airborne Division suffered a costly defeat against the German forces but were memorialized for their courage and fighting spirit. Immerse yourself in the struggle to secure the John Frost Bridge as the “Airborne Experience” brings the events of the Battle of Arnhem to life. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time before dinner. Dinner and overnight in Brussels.
DAY 7: (SEP 5) BRUSSELS – BRUGGE -DUNKIRK - DIEPPE - The day begins with a sightseeing tour of Brussels, home of NATO headquarters. Be awestruck by the Grand Palace In the heart of the city and the center square dotted with stunning architecture. In the afternoon, begin the journey to Dunkirk Allied forces set up headquarters during the Battle of Dunkirk. Meander through the vast number of artifacts left behind after the evacuation. The nearby beach displays a memorial to the Allied soldiers who sacrificed their lives during Operation Dynamo. Continue to Dieppe where the “Operation Jubilee and Dieppe Raid (19 August 1942) took place. Overnight in Dieppe.
DAY 8: (SEP 6) DIEPPE – NORMANDY – CAEN - Spend a remarkable day experiencing and learning about one of the most famous days in history: D-Day. The morning starts with a visit to the Airborne Museum in Sainte Mere-Eglise. Quaint, quiet Sainte Mère-Eglise became involved in one of the greatest exploits in military history on the night of 5-6 June 1944 as D-Day began. The museum allows visitors to experience the events of D-Day alongside the American parachutists who were dropped all around the area and in the village itself. Next, travel to Saint Pierre du Mont, Calvados, secured by Allied forces and then used as a combat airfield from June to September 1944. See the Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument erected to honor the American Army Rangers who defied all odds by scaling a massive cliff at a critical moment during the invasion. Continue to the coastal village of Colleville sur Mer to see the American Cemetery of Normandy, a spectacular and emotional setting located on a bluff overlooking Omaha Beach and the English Channel. Gaze at Omaha Beach, one of the principal beachheads where the U.S. Army stormed ashore on D-Day. Journey to Bayeux, the first town to be liberated from German control in June 1944. Dinner and overnight in Caen.
DAY 9: (SEP 7) LA ROCHE GUYON/PARIS— Begin the day in the charming village of La Roche Guyon. The stunning castle, Chateau de La Roche Guyon, looms over the village on the bank of the River Seine. This chateau controlled the route to Normandy, making it a favorable choice for German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel’s headquarters during the Nazi occupation of France. After lunch, journey to Paris. Visit Les Invalides, the military museum of France with a vast collection of treasures from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
DAY 10: (SEP 8) PARIS— Transfer to the airport in Amsterdam for your return flight to the USA as you savor the memories of your unforgettable experiences.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTERING
PASSPORTS: Passports must be valid with an expiration date of at least six months beyond the return home date of the tour. Participants with non-US passports are responsible for country-specific entry requirements. If you do not have a valid passport or need to renew your passport, enter "RENEWING" or "APPLIED FOR" when completing registration.
CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to ninety days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators, and hotels. All funds, including the deposit, are non-transferable.
AIR: The Standard Tour includes round-trip, economy-class airfare from the departure city listed in the itinerary. All group seating is assigned by the airline and cannot be changed by Signature Tours. Seat changes can only be made during check-in at the airport. Upgrades such as Comfort, Premium, Business, or First Class are not available with the standard tour. Participants who wish to upgrade or purchase a specific seat should choose the Land Only option when registering. Frequent flyer, TSA Precheck, and Global Entry numbers can only be added at check-in.
LAND ONLY: Participants who wish to arrange their own air should choose the Land Only option. $1000pp will be deducted from the standard tour price when selecting this option. Participants arranging their own air should notify Signature Tours at least 6 months prior to the departure date. Land Only Passengers arriving with or before the group are welcome to join the group bus at no additional charge. For those not traveling with the group, Signature Tours can provide contact information to arrange a private transfer.
GROUND/TRANSFERS: The group will be met on arrival by a Signature Tours representative and transferred to the hotel/airport. Land Only participants not traveling with the group are responsible for scheduling ground transfers.
HOTELS: Superior first-class hotels throughout. Priced based on two people per room with a private bath and shower.
SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: A limited number of single rooms are available at additional supplement prices. Signature Tours and/or the group leader will make every attempt to pair single participants requesting a roommate. However, the single supplement fee will be charged for each person occupying a single room, whether by choice or circumstance.
MEALS: Breakfast and dinner are provided daily. Lunch is provided on days as noted in the itinerary.
SIGHTSEEING: Entrance fees to all places listed in the itinerary are included, as well as an expert English-speaking guide.
LUGGAGE: Space is limited on the tour buses. Participants are allowed one suitcase weighing 50lbs or less and will be transported in storage under the bus. Participants are allowed one backpack/daypack or personal bag to carry on the bus during the tour. These requirements will meet most airline carrier restrictions. See the carrier website for airline-specific baggage restrictions and requirements. Medical devices are not included in these restrictions.
TIPS, SERVICE CHARGES, AND TAXES: Tips, service charges, and taxes ARE INCLUDED in the selling price. Taxes, as imposed by national and/or local governments, that are not included at the time of booking are the responsibility of the participant.
NOT INCLUDED: Excess baggage fees, passport fees, visa fees, food or drink items not listed on the regular table menu for included meals, and items of a personal nature such as room service, laundry, etc. Any service not indicated in the itinerary and/or the above list of included features.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: This tour requires a substantial amount of walking. Many of the sites are not accessible by wheelchair, and the uneven terrain is not feasible for rollators. Signature Tours reserves the right to refuse individuals who may require special attention beyond what the tour guide and tour host can provide.
