DAILY ITINERARY
 10-Day Journey to the Holy Land

DAY 01 (MAY 25): BEGINNING OF OUR TOUR – Depart ATL for Tel Aviv, Israel.

DAY 02 (MAY 26): INTO THE LAND OF THE BIBLE – Arrive in Tel Aviv, where you will be met at the airport for transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Netanya.

DAY 03 (MAY 27): CAESAREA/MT CARMEL  Drive north along the Mediterranean Coast to gorgeous Caesarea Maritima (Acts 10:1, the story of Cornelius the centurion’s conversion; Acts 23-26, where Paul stands trial before the Roman governors Felix and Festus and King Herod Agrippa II). Visit the Roman theater, as well as Herod the Great’s seaside palace and its ruins. Continue to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. Journey through the Valley of Armageddon (Revelation 16:14-20), a strategic valley connecting Egypt and Damascus, and the site of many historic battles. Stand atop Mt. Precipice (Luke 4:28-29, where the people of the Nazareth synagogue attempted to throw Jesus off of the mountain), where you will have a panoramic view of Nazareth, Cana (John 2:1-12, where Jesus turns water into wine), and the Jezreel Valley (Judges 6-8, where Gideon defeats the Midianites and the Amalekites; 2 Kings 9:30–35, near the city where King Ahab’s wife, Jezebel was killed). Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. Lunch provided. 

DAY 04 (MAY 28): MAGDALA/UPPER GALILEE – Begin the morning in Magdala, the birthplace of Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:2), where ruins from a first-century synagogue and fishing village have been uncovered. Next, journey to the Golan Heights (known as Bashan in the Bible & referenced in Deuteronomy 4:43, 1 Kings 4:13, Psalm 22:12, Isaiah 2:13, and Amos 4:1) in Upper Galilee. Visit the sources of the Jordan River at Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 3:13, Matthew 16:13-20). Travel around the Sea of Galilee and see Kursi, the site where Jesus cast demons into a herd of pigs (Matthew 8:28-34). The day concludes at Yardenit, where you will have a chance to be baptized in the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. Lunch provided

DAY 05 (MAY 29): SEA OF GALILEE /BEIT SHE’AN – The morning begins with a boat ride on the calm surface of the Sea of Galilee (Matthew 14:22-34, where Jesus walks on water; Mark 4:35-41, Jesus calms the storm). Visit Capernaum, the town where Jesus started His ministry and performed several miracles (Luke 5:1-11, Jesus performs the miraculous catch of fish & calls Peter; Mark 2:1-12, Jesus heals the paralytic; Mark 5:25-34, Jesus heals the woman with the issue of blood; Luke 8:40-56, Jesus raises a little girl from the dead). Among the ruins, see the house of Peter (Luke 4:38-39, Jesus heals Peter’s mother-in-law) and the location of the synagogue where Jesus taught. Continue to Tabgha, the site of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fish and the Primacy of Peter, where Jesus appeared to his disciples after the resurrection (Matthew 14:13-21, Jesus feeds the 5,000; John 21, Jesus appears to his disciples & Peter after his resurrection). Drive to the top of the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the surrounding area (Matthew 5-7, Sermon on the Mount). Visit Beit She’an, the leading city in the Decapolis and the place where the Philistines hung the bodies of King Saul and his sons on the city walls (1 Samuel 31:8-10). Begin the journey south to Jerusalem, taking in the scenic countryside. Pass beneath the Mount of Olives and savor the dramatic entry into the Holy City. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. Lunch provided. 

DAY 06 (MAY 30): MOUNTAINS OF JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM – Begin the day on the Mount of Olives (2 Samuel 15:30, King David flees from his son Absalom; John 11:38-44, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead; Acts 1:9-12, Jesus ascends to Heaven after His resurrection; Zechariah 14:4, where Jesus will return physically to earth at the end of the Great Tribulation). View the Kidron Valley (2 Kings 23:1-6, 1 Kings 15:13; 2 Chronicles 29:16; 30:14, where King Josiah, King Asa & King Hezekiah burned and disposed of idols; Zechariah 14:5, where Jews will flee during the Great Tribulation) and take in the spectacular views of the Temple Mount. Follow the Palm Sunday path stopping at the Church of All Nations and spending time in quiet reflection and prayer as you visit the Garden of Gethsemane (John 12:12-15, Jesus rides through Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sunday; Luke 22:39-46, Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane before his arrest). Drive south to the little town of Bethlehem for a visit to the Church of Nativity and the caves where Jerome translated the Bible into Latin (1 Samuel 16:4-13, where David is anointed as king; Luke 2, Jesus is born in Bethlehem). Visit the Shepherd's Fields with views of the Fields of Boaz and Ruth (Ruth 2, Ruth meets Boaz in the grain field). Take the opportunity to marvel at beautiful pieces of olive wood handcrafted by locals while shopping in Bethlehem. Time permitting, journey to the Valley of Elah, where David defeated Goliath (1 Samuel 17). Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. Lunch provided. 

DAY 07 (MAY 31): MASADA/JERICHO/DEAD SEA – Travel along the ancient “Bloody Way” into the wilderness of the Judean Desert. Visit Wadi Qelt and see the Valley of the Shadow of Death from the high cliffs (Psalm 23:4). See the caves of Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered by a shepherd boy. Proceed to Masada, the desert fortress built by Herod the Great and used by Jewish zealots as a stronghold during the revolt. See En Gedi before continuing to Jericho to see the ruins and excavations of the ancient city (1 Samuel 23:29, 1 Samuel 24, David hid among the rocks in En Gedi, on the run from King Saul, and where David cut the hem of Saul’s robe; Joshua 5:13-6:27, the Fall of Jericho & its walls). View the Mount of Temptation where Jesus was tempted by Satan (Matthew 4:1-11). Enjoy a beautiful drive along the shores of the Dead Sea and stop at the lowest point on earth to float in the healing, mineral-rich waters. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Lunch provided. 

DAY 08 (JUNE 1): JERUSALEM, THE HOLY CITY – Step into history as you enter the Old City of Jerusalem. Stroll along the narrow streets, experiencing the blend of several cultures revealed in the colorful bazaars, fragrant spices, and distinct neighborhoods as you make your way to the Temple Mount, where Solomon's Temple was built on Mount Moriah (2 Chronicles 3:1). Marvel at the Dome of the Rock enclosing the Rock of Sacrifice (Genesis 22:1-14, where Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac). Stand at the Western Wall where Jews have prayed to God for centuries. Walk the Southern Steps and see remnants from the days of the Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. Enjoy lunch at your choice of restaurants in the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, visit the Church of Saint Anne, the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-15, Jesus heals the man who had been sick for 38 years at the Pool of Bethesda), Lithostrotos, Pilate's Judgment Hall (John 19:13), and Antonia Fortress. Follow the Via Dolorosa (Matthew 27:27-33, the route that Jesus is believed to have walked on his way to be crucified) with its culmination at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

DAY 09 (JUNE 2): MOUNT ZION/GARDEN TOMB – Begin at Mount Zion (2 Samuel 5:7, known as the City of David) with a visit to the Upper Room (Matthew 26:17–29, Mark 14:12–25, Luke 22:7–20, and John 13:1–38, the place of the Last Supper; Acts 1:12-14, where the disciples met to pray after Jesus ascended into Heaven), the presumed Tomb of King David, and the House of Caiaphas, where Jesus spent his last night before his crucifixion. Finish the day with a poignant visit to the Garden Tomb, where a communion service will be held. Enjoy a special farewell dinner with your guide and driver. Overnight in Jerusalem. 

DAY 10 (JUNE 3): TEL AVIV/USA – Transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for your return flight home with luggage packed with keepsakes and your heart full of memories!

  • Single room supplement - $1,295
  • $500 per person with registration to secure space.
  • 50% of the total amount is due on or before November 25, 2024
  • Balance due on or before February 25, 2025

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTERING

PASSPORTS: Passports must be valid with an expiration date of at least six months beyond the return home date of the tour. Participants with non-US passports are responsible for country-specific entry requirements. If you do not have a valid passport or need to renew your passport, enter "RENEWING" or "APPLIED FOR" when completing registration.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to ninety days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators, and hotels. All funds, including the deposit, are non-transferable.

AIR: The Standard Tour includes round-trip, economy-class airfare from the departure city listed in the itinerary. All group seating is assigned by the airline and cannot be changed by Signature Tours. Seat changes can only be made during check-in at the airport. Upgrades such as Comfort, Premium, Business, or First Class are not available with the standard tour. Participants who wish to upgrade or purchase a specific seat should choose the Land Only option when registering. Frequent flyer, TSA Precheck, and Global Entry numbers can only be added at check-in.

LAND ONLY: Participants who wish to arrange their own air should choose the Land Only option. $1000pp will be deducted from the standard tour price when selecting this option. Participants arranging their own air should notify Signature Tours at least 6 months prior to the departure date. Land Only Passengers arriving with or before the group are welcome to join the group bus at no additional charge. For those not traveling with the group, Signature Tours can provide contact information to arrange a private transfer.

GROUND/TRANSFERS: The group will be met by a Signature Tours representative and transferred to the hotel/airport. Land Only participants are responsible for scheduling ground transfers.

HOTELS: Superior first-class hotels throughout. Priced based on two people per room with a private bath and shower.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: A limited number of single rooms are available at additional supplement prices. Signature Tours and/or the group leader will make every attempt to pair single participants requesting a roommate. However, the single supplement fee will be charged for each person occupying a single room, whether by choice or circumstance.

MEALS: Breakfast and dinner are provided daily. Lunch is provided on days as noted in the itinerary. 

SIGHTSEEING: Entrance fees to all places listed in the itinerary are included, as well as an expert English-speaking guide.

LUGGAGE: Space is limited on the tour buses. Participants are allowed one suitcase weighing 50lbs or less and will be transported in storage under the bus. Participants are allowed one backpack/daypack or personal bag to carry on the bus during the tour. These requirements will meet most airline carrier restrictions. See the carrier website for airline-specific baggage restrictions and requirements. Medical devices are not included in these restrictions. 

TIPS, SERVICE CHARGES, AND TAXES: Tips, service charges, and taxes ARE INCLUDED in the selling price. Taxes, as imposed by national and/or local governments, that are not included at the time of booking are the responsibility of the participant.

NOT INCLUDED: Excess baggage fees, passport fees, visa fees, food or drink items not listed on the regular table menu for included meals, and items of a personal nature such as room service, laundry, etc. Any service not indicated in the itinerary and/or the above list of included features.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: This tour requires a substantial amount of walking. Many of the sites are not accessible by wheelchair, and the uneven terrain is not feasible for rollators. Signature Tours reserves the right to refuse individuals who may require special attention beyond what the tour guide and tour host can provide.
