DAILY ITINERARY
 10-Day Journey to the Holy Land

DAY 1 (APRIL 7): Depart USA for overnight flight to Tel Aviv. 

DAY 2 (APRIL 8): Pick up from airport and drive directly to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee for overnight. 

DAY 3 (APRIL 9): Around the Sea of Galilee where Jesus invites the disciple to “come be my follower.” Start the day with a beautiful boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, contemplating the different experiences of the disciples and Jesus, which includes Jesus silencing a storm at the sea and walking on water, among other exciting Biblical stories. Visit the Mt. of the Beatitudes where Jesus heals many and delivers his famous Sermon on the Mount. Proceed to Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus on the way to there questioned his disciples: “Who are men saying the Son of man is?”. Take a break with St. Peter’s fish lunch. Continue to visit Jesus “home town” Capernaum and the house that was probably the home of Peter and Jesus, and a 1st century synagogue. Then continue to the Primacy of Peter or Mensa Christi where according to tradition, Jesus made breakfast for his disciples. End the day with a visit to Yardenit for baptism.

DAY 4 (APRIL 10): Visit Magdala, the place where Jesus likely taught the multitude and healed the afflicted. Pass through Cana, the town where Jesus performed his first miraculous sign, changing water to wine. Proceed to Nazareth, hometown of Joseph, Mary and Jesus and visit the Church of Annunciation and Joseph’s carpentry. 

DAY 5 (APRIL 11): Travel through the Jezreel Valley and view the impressive Mountains of Tabor, Gilead, Gilboa and visit Megiddo (optional), then proceed to Mt. Carmel, where prophet Elijah prayed for the end of the 3.5 year drought and kills the priests of Baal. Conclude the day with a visit to Caesarea Marittima the only man-made sea port and city built by Herod the Great and a city associated with Paul and Peter and where the first gentile converts to Christianity. Overnight in Jerusalem. 

DAY 6 (APRIL 12): Start the day with a visit to Bethlehem. Start with Shopping for olive wood, proceed to the Nativity Church and end the morning visit with the Shepherd’s Field also known as Boaz’s field. The afternoon begins with a visit to the southern Steps (entry to the Temple), where Jesus rebuked the Pharisees and conduct a 30 minutes Bible Study. Ending the day with a visit to the Western Wall and spend 20-30 minutes privately offering prayers. 

DAY 7 (APRIL 13): A day in the Judean Deserts visiting Ein Gedi (or driving through), Qumran (the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found), lunch in Jericho and visit Mt. of Temptations, take the cable car to the cliff-monastery and have a beautiful view of the area and of Mount Nebo in Jordan where Moses was buried. Stop by the Sycamore tree of Zekias, ending the day in Wadi Qelt with an overview of what the Psalmist wrote about the ‘valley of shadow of death’. (give the group a gift Jericho-Jerusalem ancient Roman road, probably the road Jesus took to go up to Jerusalem and view the 6th century St. George’s Monastery perches into the rock face. 

DAY 8 (APRIL 14): Visit the Temple Mount where Abraham offered Isaac for sacrifice, Solomon built a Temple and Herod the Great built the 2nd Temple. Leave the grounds of the Haram Al Sharif (Temple Mount) and visit St. Ann’s Church with its unique acoustics also known as the Bethesda pools, the place where Jesus heals the paralyzed man for 38 years. Proceed through the Via Dolorosa ending with one of the plausible sites of Jesus’s burial place; the Holy Sepulcher. After lunch continue to the City of David, go down Hezekiah’s tunnel, visit the pools of Siloam. If time permits visit the Israel Museum or move the visit to another day in Jerusalem. 

DAY 9 (APRIL 15): Start with a Visit to the Mount of Olives; Church of Ascension, an overview of the Temple and the city from the East, stroll down the mount to the Dominus Flevit church where Jesus cried over Jerusalem, and continue to the Gardens of Gethsemane. After lunch proceed to Mt. Zion with a visit to the upper room and ending the day with a visit to the house of the high priest Caiaphas also known as the place where Peter denied Jesus 3 times. End the day at the Garden Tomb with a communion service.

DAY 10 (APRIL 16): Travel day back to the US.

  • 50% of the total amount is due on or before October 7, 2023

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTERING

PASSPORTS: Passports must be valid with an expiration date of at least six months beyond the return home date of the tour. Participants with non-US passports are responsible for country-specific entry requirements. If you do not have a valid passport or need to renew your passport, enter "RENEWING" or "APPLIED FOR" when completing registration.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to ninety days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators, and hotels. All funds, including the deposit, are non-transferable.

AIR: The Standard Tour includes round-trip, economy-class airfare from the departure city listed in the itinerary. All group seating is assigned by the airline and cannot be changed by Signature Tours. Seat changes can only be made during check-in at the airport. Upgrades such as Comfort, Premium, Business, or First Class are not available with the standard tour. Participants who wish to upgrade or purchase a specific seat should choose the Land Only option when registering. Frequent flyer, TSA Precheck, and Global Entry numbers can only be added at check-in.

LAND ONLY: Participants who wish to arrange their own air should choose the Land Only option. $1000pp will be deducted from the standard tour price when selecting this option. Participants arranging their own air should notify Signature Tours at least 6 months prior to the departure date. Land Only Passengers arriving with or before the group are welcome to join the group bus at no additional charge. For those not traveling with the group, Signature Tours can provide contact information to arrange a private transfer.

GROUND/TRANSFERS: The group will be met by a Signature Tours representative and transferred to the hotel/airport. Land Only participants are responsible for scheduling ground transfers.

HOTELS: Superior first-class hotels throughout. Priced based on two people per room with a private bath and shower.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: A limited number of single rooms are available at additional supplement prices. Signature Tours and/or the group leader will make every attempt to pair single participants requesting a roommate. However, the single supplement fee will be charged for each person occupying a single room, whether by choice or circumstance.

MEALS: Breakfast and dinner are provided daily. Lunch is provided on days as noted in the itinerary. 

SIGHTSEEING: Entrance fees to all places listed in the itinerary are included, as well as an expert English-speaking guide.

LUGGAGE: Space is limited on the tour buses. Participants are allowed one suitcase weighing 50lbs or less and will be transported in storage under the bus. Participants are allowed one backpack/daypack or personal bag to carry on the bus during the tour. These requirements will meet most airline carrier restrictions. See the carrier website for airline-specific baggage restrictions and requirements. Medical devices are not included in these restrictions. 

TIPS, SERVICE CHARGES, AND TAXES: Tips, service charges, and taxes ARE INCLUDED in the selling price. Taxes, as imposed by national and/or local governments, that are not included at the time of booking are the responsibility of the participant.

NOT INCLUDED: Excess baggage fees, passport fees, visa fees, food or drink items not listed on the regular table menu for included meals, and items of a personal nature such as room service, laundry, etc. Any service not indicated in the itinerary and/or the above list of included features.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: This tour requires a substantial amount of walking. Many of the sites are not accessible by wheelchair, and the uneven terrain is not feasible for rollators. Signature Tours reserves the right to refuse individuals who may require special attention beyond what the tour guide and tour host can provide.
