Day 1, SEP03: Depart ATL for your flight to Rome, Italy.

Day 2, SEP04: Arrive in Rome. Spend the afternoon captivated by Rome’s primer Baroque landmarks. Meander through Navona Square, taking in the gorgeous architecture and impressive fountains. Visit the Pantheon, gaze at the masterful Trevi Fountain, and ascend the Spanish Steps. Dinner and overnight in Rome. 

Day 3, SEP05: The day begins with a visit to Vatican City. Spend the morning wandering through the expansive Vatican Museums with thousands of artifacts, tapestries, paintings, murals, and works of art. Stand in awe of Michelangelo’s masterful work in the Sistine Chapel. Experience St. Peter’s Square. In the afternoon, tour Ancient Rome. Be captivated by the remnants of temples, basilicas and triumphal arches constructed over a millennium as you pass through the Roman Forum. See Palatine Hill, the nucleus of the Roman Empire. Marvel at the iconic Coliseum, the enduring symbol Rome’s greatness. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 4, SEP06: After breakfast, visit the Abbey of Three Fountains, the traditional place of Paul’s martyrdom. Continue to St. Paul Outside the Walls, a basilica and abbey built to commemorate and mark the burial place of the apostle Paul. Sink beneath the Eternal City to explore the Catacombs of San Sebastian located on the ancient Appian Way. Journey through the scenic countryside to Florence. Dinner and overnight in Florence.

Day 5, SEP07: Begin the day at the Baptistery of St. John with its distinctive octagonal design and gilded bronze doors dubbed “the Gates of Paradise” by Michelangelo. See the eloquent Giotto’s Bell Tower and the stunning Duomo, a magnificent display of Gothic architecture. Admire Michelangelo’s “David” among the Florentine artwork showcased in the Academia Gallery. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore Florence at leisure. The outdoor Market of San Lorenzo is known for its leather products and the historic Ponte Vecchio is known for the jewelry shops that have covered the bridge for centuries. Dinner and overnight in Florence.

Day 6, SEP08: Journey to Pisa for a visit to the illustrious Leaning Tower and a walking tour of the city. See the Pisa Cathedral and Baptistery of St. John, a brilliant blend of Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. Travel to Mestre for dinner and overnight. 

Day 7, SEP09: Spend the day exploring Venice. Begin at the heart of the city in St. Mark’s Square. Tour the opulent St. Mark’s Basilica with its stunning, detailed architecture and striking mosaics. Continue to historical Doge’s Palace where even the ceilings captivate. Explore the interrogation rooms and take in the stunning scenes of Venice Lagoon from the Bridge of Sighs. Dinner and overnight in Mestre.

Day 8, SEP10: Enjoy the beautiful views on the journey to Innsbruck, Austria, nestled in the majestic Alps. Dinner and overnight in Innsbruck.

Day 9, SEP11: Start the morning with a stroll on Maria-Theresien Strassel. See the Triumphal Arc, St. Anne’s Column and the Chapel of St. George. Wonder at the splendor of the Golden Roof constructed in the 1500s for Emperor Maximillian I. Be immersed in the Tirol Panorama, a 360-degree painting depicting the battle of Bergisel. Visit the adjoining Kaiserjager museum showcasing Innsbruck’s military history from the 18th and 19th centuries. Travel to Vaduz, capital of Liechtenstein. Enjoy a walking tour of the city nestled among the Swiss mountains. See Gutenburg Castle and cross over the Rhine on the old covered wooden bridge. Dinner and overnight in Zurich.

Day 10, SEP12: Explore the charming town of Zurick, Switzerland. Ramble along the Limmat River, taking in views of the waterfront buildings. See Grossmunster Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, and Zurich Town Hall. Journey to ancient Lucerne known for its breathtaking medieval architecture. Enjoy meandering down the cobblestone streets while marveling at the old buildings and splendid bridges of Old Town. Dinner and overnight in Zurich.

Day 11, SEP13: Transfer to the Zurich airport for your return flight to the USA.

• 50% of the total amount is due on or before April 2, 2023

INCLUDED:

AIR: The Standard Tour includes round-trip, economy-class airfare from the international departure city listed in the itinerary. Group airfares are based on contracted rates and are highly restrictive. Seats will be assigned by the airline at check-in, and specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Upgrades such as Comfort, Premium, Business, or First Class are not available with the standard tour. Participants who wish to upgrade or purchase a specific seat should choose the Land Only option when registering. Participants are responsible for providing frequent flyer numbers, TSA PreCheck, and Global Entry information upon check-in. Group fares do not permit schedule deviations. Participants who wish to deviate from the group schedule should choose the Land Only option. 

LAND ONLY: Participants who wish to arrange their own air should choose the Land Only option. $1000 will be deducted from the standard tour price when selecting this option. Participants arranging their own air should notify Signature Tours prior to the second payment date listed on the payment schedule. Transportation to and from the airport/hotel can be arranged by Signature Tours for Land Only passengers.

GROUND/TRANSFERS: The group will be met by a Signature Tours representative and transferred to the hotel/airport.

HOTELS: Superior first-class hotels throughout. Priced based on two people per room with a private bath and shower.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: A limited number of single rooms are available at additional supplement prices. Signature Tours and/or the group leader will make every attempt to pair single participants requesting a roommate. However, the single supplement fee will be charged for each person occupying a single room, whether by choice or circumstance.

MEALS: Breakfast and dinner are provided at the hotel daily. 

SIGHTSEEING: Entrance fees to all places of interest listed in the itinerary as well as an expert English-speaking guide.

PORTERAGE: See the carrier website for airline-specific baggage restrictions and requirements. Any fees for additional baggage beyond the standard airline allowance will be the responsibility of the individual. 

SERVICE CHARGES AND TAXES: Service charges added to the bill as required by hotel management. Taxes as imposed by national and/or local governments and/or administrations from the date listed on this brochure. Tips, taxes, and airport taxes ARE INCLUDED in the selling price. 

NOT INCLUDED: Excess baggage fees, passport fees, visa fees, food or drink items not listed on the regular table menu for included meals, and items of a personal nature such as room service, laundry, etc. Any service not indicated in the itinerary and/or the above list of included features.

PASSPORTS: Passports must be valid with an expiration date at least six months beyond the return home date of the tour. If you do not have a valid passport or need to renew your passport before the trip, enter "RENEWING" or "APPLIED FOR" when completing registration.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: This tour requires a substantial amount of walking. Many of the sites are not accessible by wheelchair, and the uneven terrain is not feasible for rollators. Signature Tours reserves the right to refuse individuals who may require special attention beyond what the tour guide and tour host can provide.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to sixty days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators, and hotels.
