12-Day Journey to Jordan & Israel

DAY 1: THE JOURNEY BEGINS – Depart Atlanta for Amman, Jordan.
DAY 2: JORDAN – Arrive in Amman, Jordan where you will be met at the airport for transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Petra.
DAY 3: PETRA – Begin your tour in the breath-taking city of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, known as "the Rose Red City, half as old as time". Journey through the once-hidden passage to the Treasury. Stroll the two-thousand-year-old streets while marveling at the outstanding ruins that come to life as the sunlight changes the colors with your every step. See the awe-inspiring theatre and Palace Tomb. For the adventurous, climb to the High Place, with its breathtaking view of Petra and Mount Hor, one of the earliest mentioned mountains in scripture. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea resort hotel. Lunch provided.
DAY 4: MT NEBO/MACHAERUS/DEAD SEA – This morning you will begin at Mt Nebo, where Moses stood, as he looked over into the Promised Land. Then see Machaerus, the hilltop palace where Herod ordered John the Baptist to be beheaded. Spend the afternoon floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea and enjoying the amenities of the resort. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea resort hotel.
DAY 5: JERICHO/GALILEE – Following in the footsteps of the Israelites across the Jordan River you will visit Jericho, the oldest inhabited city in the world. Observe the ruins of the massive walls from the time of Joshua's conquest, and view the Mount of Temptation where Jesus was tempted by Satan. Proceed to your hotel on the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: GALILEE & UPPER GALILEE – This morning board a boat on the calm surface of the Sea of Galilee, cruising toward Capernaum. Upon landing, visit the site where Jesus started His ministry, the house of Peter, and the synagogue where Jesus taught. Continue to Tabgha, the site of Peter’s restoration, and the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fish with its beautiful fourth-century mosaics. Drive to the top of the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee and surrounding areas. In the afternoon, drive to the Golan Heights in Upper Galilee. Visit the sources of the Jordan River at Caesarea Philippi. Return to the exit of the Jordan River from the Sea of Galilee where a baptismal service will take place. Return to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight. Lunch provided.
DAY 05: SAMARIA/JACOB’S WELL/JERUSALEM – Leave Tiberias and travel south along the Jordan River. Travel to Beit She'an, the leading city of the Decapolis and the place where the Philistines hung the bodies of King Saul and his sons on the city walls. Explore the remarkable ruins of this ancient Roman city with the best-preserved theater in all of Israel.. Take a beautiful drive through the heart of Samaria to the city of Nablus. Here you will see Jacob’s Well, where Jesus asked a Samaritan woman for a drink. You will then enjoy a traditional Palestinian lunch. Continue to ancient Shiloh, the first capital of the Israelite Kingdom and site of the tabernacle. Before entering the Holy City, you will stop at Mount Scopus for a beautiful view of Jerusalem. Proceed to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Lunch provided.
DAY 8: MOUNTAINS OF JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM – Today takes you to the Mount of Olives with its outstanding views of the city. Visit the Church of Dominus Flavit, Spend time in quiet reflection and prayer as you visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. View the Kidron Valley. From there you will drive south to the little town of Bethlehem with a visit to the Church of Nativity. Visit The Shepherd's Fields and the Fields of Boaz and Ruth. Proceed to Herodian, Herod’s mountain hideaway. from here we will drive to the Valley of Elah where David defeated Goliath. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Lunch provided.
DAY 9: MASADA/QUMRAN/EN GEDI – This morning you will drive into the wilderness of the Judean Desert. Visit Wadi Qelt and view the Valley of the Shadow of Death from the high cliffs. Continue to Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a shepherd boy. Then to Masada, a desert fortress built by Herod the Great which was used as a stronghold by Jewish zealots who committed suicide rather than surrender to the Romans. Visit En Gedi before continuing on a beautiful drive that takes you along the shores of the Dead Sea. Continue to the Jordan River for an opportunity to be baptized in the same location where Jesus was baptized. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Lunch provided.
DAY 10: JERUSALEM, THE HOLY CITY – Step into history as you enter the Old City of Jerusalem. Stroll through the colorful bazaars, picturesque neighborhoods, and narrow streets as you make your way to the temple area, where Solomon's Temple was built on Mount Moriah. Visit the Dome of the Rock enclosing the Rock of Sacrifice, the Mosque of Al Aksa, and the Pinnacle of the Temple. Enjoy lunch in the old city and take some time to shop for souvenirs, jewelry, and ancient coins. In the afternoon, you will visit the Church of Saint Anne, the Pool of Bethesda, the Lithostrotos, Pilate's Judgment Hall, Antonia Fortress, and walk on the Via Dolorosa leading you to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. After dinner, you will visit the Western Wall (the Wailing Wall), then go under the old city to visit the Western Wall Tunnels to see remnants from the days of the Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
DAY 11: NEW JERUSALEM – You will begin at Mount Zion where we will visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper as well as the Tomb of King David and the House of Caiaphas. You will visit the City of David, where the original inhabitants of Jerusalem lived. Visit the Shrine of the Book, home of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. You will also visit a model of Jerusalem depicting the city as it was laid out during the time of Christ. In the afternoon, you will visit the Garden Tomb and Gordon's Calvary, the site where Jesus was cruciﬁed, buried, and resurrected. A communion service will be held at the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.
DAY 12: TEL AVIV/USA – Transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for your return flight home with luggage packed with keepsakes and your heart full of memories!

AIR: Roundtrip flight from departure city in the USA and return. Flights are subject to airline schedules and may change without notice. Upgrades may be requested after booking and are subject to airline availability. Seat selections are available only at check-in for most group bookings.
GROUND/TRANSFERS: The group will be met by a Signature Tours representative and transferred to the hotel. Land-only passengers are responsible for transportation to and from the airport/hotel.
HOTELS: Superior first-class hotels throughout. Priced based on two people per room with a private bath and shower.
SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: A limited number of single rooms are available at additional supplement prices. Signature Tours and/or the group leader will make every attempt to pair single participants requesting a roommate. However, the single supplement fee will be charged for each person occupying a single room, whether by choice or circumstance.
MEALS: Breakfast and dinner are provided at the hotel daily. Lunch is provided most days as noted in the itinerary.
SIGHTSEEING: Entrance fees to all places of interest listed in the itinerary as well as an expert English-speaking guide.
PORTERAGE: See the carrier website for airline-specific baggage restrictions and requirements. Any fees for additional baggage beyond the standard airline allowance will be the responsibility of the individual.
SERVICE CHARGES AND TAXES: Service charges added to the bill as required by hotel management. Taxes as imposed by national and/or local governments and/or administrations from the date listed on this brochure. Tips, taxes, and airport taxes ARE INCLUDED in the selling price.
NOT INCLUDED: Excess baggage fees, passport fees, visa fees, food or drink items not listed on the regular table menu for included meals, and items of a personal nature such as room service, laundry, etc. Any service not indicated in the itinerary and/or the above list of included features.
PASSPORTS: Passports must be valid with an expiration date at least six months beyond the return home date of the tour. If you do not have a valid passport or need to renew your passport before the trip, enter "RENEWING" or "APPLIED FOR" when completing registration.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Vaccine and testing requirements are established by the destination and/or transfer countries. These policies are not set by Signature Tours or our subsidiaries. Signature Tours will make every effort to inform tour participants of health requirements, including vaccinations and testing, for their respective destinations. However, participants are responsible for complying with current health, vaccine, and testing requirements for their tour destinations and return to the USA. Changes in health, vaccine, and/or testing requirements from the USA and destination countries before, during, or after the registration process do not affect the Signature Tours cancellation policy.
CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to sixty days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators, and hotels.
