It is my joy to invite you to join me for a journey of a lifetime to the Holy Land and Jordan. In February 2020, we are going to embark on a 12-day spiritual journey to walk where Jesus walked and experience the Bible coming to life as we visit such locations as Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, and the region around the Sea of Galilee. Other highlights include visiting Petra, Masada, the land of the Exodus, and Valley of Elah. It promises to be a trip that will impact your life forever.

DAY 1: Sunday, February 16th, OMAHA – Group meets at the Omaha Eppley Airport for flight to Amman, Jordan.
DAY 2: Monday, February 17th, AMMAN, JORDAN - Upon our arrival to the Amman Airport, we are met, assisted with luggage and taken by private, deluxe motor coach to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: Tuesday, February 18th, PETRA – Breakfast at the hotel. A full day of sightseeing as we travel down the King’s Highway to the incredible city of Petra, carved into the pink limestone cliffs. We see the Treasury; 3000 seat Theatre; a Palace Tomb in Roman style; a Monastery; and much, much more. In the distance, we see Mount Aaron said to be the burial place of Aaron (Moses' brother). Return to Amman for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: Wednesday, February 19th, AMMAN/ISRAEL – Breakfast at the hotel. Our excursion takes us to Mt. Nebo, the memorial to Moses and presumed to be the site of the prophet’s death and burial place. We cross the Jordan/Israel border into the country of Israel. Our first stop is the ruins and excavations of ancient Jericho and Elisha's Fountain. We see the Mountain of Temptation where Jesus was tempted by Satan. Continuing on to Beit She’an, the leading city in the Decapolis and the place where the Philistines hung the bodies of King Saul and his sons on the city walls. Continuing driving along the Jordan River into Galilee to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: Thursday, February 20th, TIBERIAS/CAESAREA/MOUNT CARMEL/MEGGIDO – A drive South along the Mediterranean coast will take us to Caesarea Maritime built by Herod the Great. Visit the Roman Theater and its ruins. Continue to Mt. Carmel for a visit to Elijah’s cave. Continue to Megiddo “Armageddon”, a very important strategic point on the Via Maris connecting Egypt and Damascus. Proceed to Nazareth to visit Nazareth Village and see Mount Precipice. Continue to Cana for a visit to where the first miracle took place. We will also visit the ruins of Magdala, the birthplace of Mary Magdalene. Proceed to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: Friday, February 21st, GALILEE/TEL DAN/CAESAREA PHILIPPI – This morning board a boat on the calm surface of the Sea of Galilee, cruising toward Capernaum. Upon landing, visit the site where Jesus began his ministry, the house of Peter and the synagogue where Jesus was teaching. Continue to Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of loaves and fish. See the 4th century mosaics. Drive to the top of the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the sea and surrounding area. In the afternoon drive to the Golan Heights in Upper Galilee. Visit the sources of the Jordan River at Tel Dan, Caesarea Philippi at Banias. Return to the exit of the Jordan River from the Sea of Galilee where a baptismal service will take place. Return to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: Saturday, February 22nd, BETHANY/MOUNT OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANE – This morning we leave Tiberias and travel south along the Jordan River to Bethany where we visit the New Church built over the House of Mary and Martha and Lazarus' Tomb. Take the path of the Triumphal entry over the Mount of Olives for our first view of the Holy City of Jerusalem and Kidron Valley. Visit the Chapel of the Ascension, Church of Pater Noster, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of the Nations. Continue to hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8: Sunday, February 23rd, MOUNTAINS OF JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM – Today we start on Mount Scopus which is one of the most beautiful lookout points in Jerusalem. It is the highest spot in the city at a height of 850 meters above sea level. Here you will have a spectacular view of the Kidron Valley, Garden of Gethsemane, Mount of Olives, and the Eastern Gate where Jesus makes his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. From here we drive south to the town of Bethlehem with a visit to the Church of Nativity. We will also go to The Shepherd's Fields and the Fields of Boaz and Ruth. We will then proceed to Herodian, Herod’s mountain hideaway. Time allowing, from here we will drive to the Valley of Elah where David defeated Goliath. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
DAY 9: Monday, February 24th, THE HOLY CITY – Visit the Garden Tomb and Gordon's Calvary, the site where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected. A communion service will be held at the Garden Tomb. Proceed towards the city walls built by Sulieman enclosing the most holy sites in the world. Walk into history as you enter the Old City of Jerusalem. Stroll the picturesque colorful bazaars, neighborhoods and narrow streets as you make your way to the superb temple area, where Solomon's Temple was built on Mount Moriah. Visit the Dome of the Rock enclosing the Rock of Sacrifice; the Mosque of Al Aksa, further south, the Pinnacle of the Temple and the Western Wall or the Wailing Wall. In the afternoon, start at Saint Stephen's Gate and back into the Old City to visit the Church of Saint Anne, the Pool of Bethesda, the Lithostrotos, Pilate's Judgment Hall, Antonia Fortress, as well as a walk on the Via Dolorosa leading us to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Walk through the bazaars to the Citadel and take the bus from Jaffa Gate. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 10: Tuesday, February 25th, NEW JERUSALEM – We will begin at Mount Zion where we will visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper as well as the Tomb of King David and the House of Caiaphas. We will then go under the old city to visit the Western Wall Tunnels to see remnants from the days of the Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70AD. Then we will proceed to the Shrine of the Book, the home of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Also, you will visit the model of Jerusalem as it was laid out during the time of Christ. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 11: Wednesday, February 26th, QUMRAN/MASADA/EN GEDI/DEAD SEA – This morning we drive into the wilderness of the Judean Desert. Visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a shepherd boy. Then to Masada, a desert fortress built by Herod the Great the stronghold of Jewish zealots who committed suicide rather than surrender to the Romans. Visit En Gedi where David took refuge from Saul. Visit Elisha's Fountain before continuing on a beautiful drive that takes you along the shores of the Dead Sea. A float in the healing, mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea is part of our excursion. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
DAY 12: Thursday, February 27th, TEL AVIV/OMAHA – Transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for return flight home

GROUND/TRANSFERS: Transfers and ground transportation to\from airport/hotel by Deluxe Air-conditioned motor coaches. Land Only passengers responsible for transportation to and from airport/hotel.
HOTELS: Superior First Class hotels throughout. Priced on the basis of two persons sharing room with private bath and shower. A limited number of single rooms are available at regular supplement prices.
MEALS: Breakfast & dinner daily.
SIGHTSEEING: As and wherever indicated on the itinerary, including the services of English speaking guides as well as entrance fees to all places of interest listed in your itinerary.
PORTERAGE: Fees and charges for the porterage of one piece of baggage per person not to exceed 50lbs, in connection with all transfers and at airports throughout the entire itinerary is included. An overnight bag may also be carried, provided it remains in the possession of the passenger at all times. This bag, although carried personally, is considered part of your total luggage allowance.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Deposits and other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to sixty days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators and hotels.
